Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office report three vehicle accidents Saturday night, two involving deer.
Donald Eugene Williams, 43, of Brighton, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pickup north on Germanville Road when he swerved at 10:35 p.m. about a quarter-mile north of 150th Street to miss a deer. He ran off the road on the left, entered the ditch and the vehicle flipped onto its roof, causing an estimated $5,000 in damages.
Jeffrey Michael Wallerich, 44, of Sigourney was driving a 2002 Volvo west on Brookville Road when he struck a deer at 11:41 p.m., two-tenths of a mile east of Grape Avenue, causing an estimated $3,500 estimated in damages to his vehicle.
Stacey Lynn Shaver, 41, of Lockridge, was cited at 11:32 p.m. for operating while intoxicated and open container. He was driving a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire east on Highway 34 when he ran off the road to the left near mile marker 214, over corrected, and ran off the right side of the road and entered the ditch. The left side tires of the vehicle came off the rims, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its roof and causing an estimated $4,000 worth of damage to his vehicle.
