Speaker, pop-rock band in free concert tonight at Sondheim

Youth motivational speaker Joel Penton will bring his positive message, focusing on personal insights and the results of good decisions, to the Sondheim theater, at 7:30 p.m. today.

The event is free and open to the public.

The event also will include music from Columbus, Ohio, pop-rock band Plain Cities, touring with Penton in support of their new EP, “I Lost it.”

Penton has quickly earned a reputation as one of the nation’s leading youth motivational speakers. He proves through his own personal stories of triumph that ordinary people can accomplish great things by simply making the right choices. As one of the top school motivational speakers in the country, Penton has shared his school assembly programs with more than 500,000 students.

Penton and Plain Cities appearance at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center’s Stephen Sondheim Center for Performing Arts is made possible by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Pizza Ranch.
