Students of month recognized at FMS

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School “Students of the Month” award.

The purpose of this award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school. These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade level teaching team.

Sophia Mineart has been selected as a fifth-grade student of the month for October. Her certificate states, “Sophia is a hard worker. She always shows kindness and consideration towards others. She is responsible about getting her work done accurately and on time. Sophia demonstrates integrity, and always strives to do what is right.”

Alex Hetland is a fifth-grade student of the month. His certificate states, “Alex is one of the hardest workers in class. No matter what the challenge may be, he is up for it and will always give his best effort. Alex brings a positive attitude to school and can be seen helping others in whatever way he can. He is a logical thinker, and never shies away from answering questions. Alex’s hard work ethic, determination, and respectful attitude make him a perfect choice for student of the month.”

Malory Jones has been selected as a sixth grade student of the month for October. Her certificate states, “Malory is a very conscientious student who strives to do her best. She is always willing to help other students in her classes who struggle. She is involved in many extra-curricular activities outside of school, which help to make her a well-rounded student. She exemplifies Trojan PRIDE every day.”

Mark Diers is a sixth grade student of the month. His certificate states, “Mark works well with others and has a positive attitude towards learning and sharing each and every day. He chooses to do the right thing and is a great example of Trojan Pride through his actions and words. Mark is an extremely hard-working student who strives to do his best at all times.”

Ashtyn Drish is a seventh-grade student of the month for October. Her certificate states, “Ashtyn has a contagious, positive attitude and a good work ethic to go along with it. She is always willing to take on challenges in the classroom and in the athletic arena. Ashtyn doesn’t give up until success is hers! She also does a great job of being efficient with her time.”

Armin Taheri is a seventh grade student of the month. His certificate states, “Armin consistently goes above and beyond the basic requirements of an assignment. All his teachers and peers admire his commitment to academics. Armin is a self-motivated student, and never shies away from a challenge. He is a very diligent worker, and has high expectations for himself.”

Autum Wickenkamp is an eighth grade student of the month. Her certificate states, “Autum is a quiet leader in the classroom. She always comes to class prepared to do her best and armed with a smile and great attitude. She is also willing to help other students to complete assignments and understand key concepts. In a group, she will always pitch in to do her part and go over and above if needed to succeed. Autum is a daily reminder of what Trojan PRIDE is all about.”

James Bechtel is an eighth grade student of the month. His certificate states, “James has a positive and caring attitude towards everyone. He has taken responsibility for making the most of his education and is conscientious in getting assignments done. You never see this young man without a smile on his face and a friendly greeting on his lips. He is someone we can all look up to as a role model.”
