Students of Month recognized at FMS
Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School “Students of the Month” award to acknowledge positive contributions of students at school.
These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade level teaching team.
Kyra Hunter has been chosen as a fifth-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states, “Kyra is a conscientious worker. She always tries to do her best. She is kind to others, and she is always willing to help out. Kyra is always respectful both to adults and peers. She does a great job of participating in class discussions. She is a great leader in group activities. Trojan PRIDE is demonstrated in all that Kyra does.”
Ronan Malloy also was chosen as a fifth-grade Student of the Month. His certificate states, “Ronan is a diligent worker on all of his tasks. He takes pride in his work for all subjects and always has a positive attitude. Ronan can be counted on to follow Trojan PRIDE in and out of the classroom. He has developed into a great leader of his class. Ronan has started challenging himself more to become the best possible student he can be, which makes him deserving of student of the month.”
Anatta Charoenkul was chosen as a sixth-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states, “She is prepared everyday and is extremely dependable on getting work done on time. Anatta displays a great work ethic and attitude, striving to do her best at all times.Her integrity, doing what is right even when no one is looking, is greatly appreciated by all.”
Evan Huff was chosen as a sixth-grade Student of the Month for March. His certificate states, “Evan comes to class with a positive attitude and has shown great progress throughout the year. He works well with others and shows an interest and willingness to learn about new things in the classroom. His teachers appreciate Evan’s efforts and attitude.”
Deanna Winn was chosen chosen as a seventh-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states, “Deanna always works very hard, and is willing to put in extra effort and time with teachers to make sure her work is quality. She seeks out teacher’s advice and takes suggestions well. Deanna is having a fantastic year, and we are very proud of her.”
Zach Barnes was named a seventh grade Student of the Month. His certificate states, “Zach has a terrific sense of humor. He’s a very hard worker and he never gives up. Zach is thorough in his work, and doesn’t quit until he’s satisfied. He asks good questions and is a good participant in class.”
Katherine Hull was chosen as an eighth-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states, “Katherine is a hard worker and does well in class. Katherine is involved in extra-curricular activities, including recently having a lead in the middle school musical.Katherine has been trying new things, being persistent when tasks are difficult, and keeping a positive attitude.”
Spencer Else was chosen as an eighth-grade Student of the Month. His certificate states, “A friendly, outgoing young man, Spencer can be counted on to exemplify Trojan PRIDE: he is prepared, respectful to others, shows integrity, is dependable, and is respectful of his surroundings. Spencer finishes what he sets out to do and takes responsibility for his actions. He has the potential to be a fine leader ...”
