Shane Kevin McBride

A Fairfield man wanted on heroin-related charges, in connection with earlier arrests of two local men, was arrested Monday.

Shane Kevin McBride, age 24, of 209 Glasgow Road, was arrested Monday. McBride is charged with conspiracy to deliver less than 100 grams of heroin, a class C felony. He is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Isaac Reynolds Knight, age 32, of 808 W. Washington Ave., was arrested Wednesday. He is charged with conspiracy to deliver less than 100 grams of heroin, a class C felony, and ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony. Knight is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Kyle Ehret Connelly, age 27, of 1547 Olive Ave., was arrested Nov. 6. He is charged with conspiracy to deliver less than 100 grams of heroin, a class C felony. Connelly has posted bond and is free on bail.

The arrests were made after officers from the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office initiated a heroin distribution case in July in Jefferson County and Fairfield.

Agencies that assisted in the investigation include the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson County Attorney’s Office, 8th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services, the Fairfield Police Department and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.

Residents are reminded a criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
