Tiff Widmer named Volunteer of the Year
Tiff Widmer was named the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center’s Volunteer of the Year.
The announcement was made by Torie Hollingsworth, Fairfield Arts & Convention Center ticket office and volunteer coordinator, during the recent volunteer appreciation event for the more than 120 volunteers who provided 1,800 hours of service over the last year.
“Tiff is the quintessential volunteer and is exactly what makes the center the great community asset that is enjoyed by more than 50,000 guests per year,” said Hollingsworth. “Regardless the show or event, Tiff is dedicated to providing stellar service and dedication to our patrons, always with a welcoming smile.”
The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center offers a variety of opportunities for volunteers to assist with carrying out the center’s mission of enhancing the quality of life and contributing to the economic vitality of Jefferson County and southeast Iowa through education, entertainment, events and the performing arts. The value of the 120 volunteers’ 1,800 service hours is $41,300 for the fiscal year running July 2015 through June 2016.
