Tom Rubel would make great state senator
To the editor:
I am honored to write a letter of recommendation for Tom Rubel. As the superintendent of schools at Cardinal Community School District, I have had the distinct pleasure of getting to know Mr. Rubel in different capacities. I have worked with many educators and leaders throughout my career, but Mr. Rubel’s dedication, drive and passion set him apart.
I am impressed with Mr. Rubel’s communication and networking skills. His ability to work with individuals from all walks of life is inspirational. Mr. Rubel has the capacity for creating positive, lasting change through his ability to bring people together to help solve problems. He truly understands that creating relationships is not part of a job, but a necessary element in uniting a community.
As a lifetime public servant and educator, Mr. Rubel has attacked every position he has undertaken with great zeal and enthusiasm. His commitment to building a strong community is founded on the respect and attention he provides to every individual he encounters. Mr. Rubel believes change can be welcomed, valued and owned by all if the community is involved and feels respected. Mr. Rubel believes developing mutual respect among cultures, and promoting economic growth through higher education and equality, will have a significant impact on the lives of all Southeastern Iowa residents.
Mr. Rubel is fair, just and is a common sense voice of reason. He knows that education and job development are a high priority in our small communities. Yet, he does not make promises as a campaign tactic. Instead, he vows to work hard every day for the people he will graciously serve. Tom Rubel is a man of character, poise and compassionate service. There, I proudly recommend Tom Rubel as the next Iowa State Senator for District 41. I know his moral integrity, hard work and commitment to his constituents will improve the lives of all our citizens.
