Track underway for Fairfield boys
Boys from all over Iowa got a chance to compete under the lights and inside the warmth of the University of Iowa’s Recreation Building Thursday at the Demon Indoor Boys’ Track and Field Meet.
This meet gave the athletes a shot at competing before the weather changes. The schools that sent boys included Fairfield, Highland, Mid-Prairie, WACO, Washington and many others from the area.
“I didn’t know what to expect because we’ve been running the hallways,” Fairfield coach Brian Dunlap said. “This is the first night we’ve been on the track with spikes on. We did a lot of good things. I was pleased with our middle distance crew.”
