Trout anglers encouraged to participate in 2016 survey
Some anglers who purchased a trout permit for the 2016 season could receive a postcard encouraging them to participate in the 2016 Trout Angler Survey.
As of Oct. 1, nearly 45,000 resident and non-resident anglers purchased the trout permit, and 10,000 of them were selected for the survey.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is asking trout anglers to report their trout fishing preferences and experiences, including where they fish and how often. Responses to the survey will help guide decisions to provide opportunities for anglers to experience the thrill of trout fishing in Iowa.
Those selected to participate can use an online version of the survey now through Nov. 4. Individuals who do not have internet access will receive a paper copy in mid-November.
