The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center mobile crew recently drew several pints of blood at area blood drives.
The crew collected 34 pints of blood Oct. 15 at Cambridge Investment Research Inc.
The crew also drew 17 pints of blood Oct. 15 at the Lockridge Senior Center.
According to blood center officials, blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45-60 minutes; one pint of blood can help save the lives of up to three patients, and one out of every five people entering the hospital will need blood products.
