The Nelson Company received a new vertical lathe this month built in Japan. Employees James Sines, left, and Tom Boese, are shown at the biggest machine The Nelson Company has ever owned. The lathe can handle up to 31-inch and 800- to 1,000-pound parts. Nelson Company does machining, drilling and turning for various industries. The new machine will help expand its customer base with its ability to handle larger parts, said John Weissheier, president.
