Jefferson County Health Center CEO Deb Cardin, center left and Senior Health Insurance Information Program volunteer Judith Cox, center right, receive a a Governor’s Award for Outstanding Commitment and Length of Service from Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds and Gov. Terry Branstad. Cox started the program at the Jefferson County Hospital in 1998. SHIIP is a place for Iowans on Medicare to turn for free, confidential information to help them make informed health care coverage choices. SHIIP volunteers Cox and Colleen Kimble are available at Jefferson County Health Center by appointment by calling 469-4308.
