Walk-in clinic to join main clinic

By Andy Hallman, Ledger news editor | Feb 27, 2017

The Jefferson County Health Center wants patients to know it will move its walk-in clinic to a new location Wednesday.

The walk-in clinic is on the south side of the health center away from the recently remodeled JCHC Clinics on the north side of the building. JCHC director of clinics Ryan Ford said the walk-in clinic will be moved inside JCHC Clinics Wednesday.

“The walk-in clinic is for patients with a minor injury or illness,” Ford said.

Ford said the health center will hang signs in the building indicating the walk-in clinic has moved.

Another change health center has planned is expanding the specialty travel clinic. The travel clinic hosts physicians who specialize in a particular type of medicine and who see patients at multiple health centers. Ford said the travel clinic will move into a bigger space in May.
