	        The Fairfield High School Senior Awards ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the FHS Auditorium.
FHS guidance counselor Jhonna Wallerich said nearly 100 scholarships will be awarded.
“There are about 50 local scholarships and about 40 Jefferson County Foundation scholarships,” Wallerich said. “It is such a great opportunity for our kids.”

	        The annual plant exchange will be held Saturday at the Fairfield Farmers’ Market in the grassy area behind the vendors in Howard Park.
Gardeners with plants to exchange can check in and receive a number between 12:15-12:50 p.m. The actual exchange will begin at 1 p.m. sharp.

	        Dick Arnold, Bob Rutt and Cathy Matt sand a bench near Waterworks Park before sealing it during Jefferson County Trails Council’s spring maintenance day Saturday. With perfect weather in the low 80s, 15 people worked on the trail. Projects included sanding and staining 11 benches and one picnic table, trimming trees and weeds, laying out a proposed bridge near Walton Lake and other various improvements to the trail.
