WAPELLO — The Pekin boys’ basketball team nearly doubled Wapello’s point total in a 63-34 drubbing Thursday.

The Panthers (16-3, 14-3 SEISC north) went on a 16-6 run to open the game and never trailed, grabbing a 30-15 lead by halftime.
