5K run/walk fundraiser for Noah’s Ark

May 13, 2014

Give A Dog A Bone, a 5K fundraiser for Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation, is planned June 7 at Chautauqua Park.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the park, and the run/walk begins at 8 a.m.

The fee is $20 for an adult, $10 for a child age 12 or younger or $40 for a family. Register at the park or in advance at www.razoo.com and search for Give A Dog A Bone. Online registration is due Wednesday.

Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt. All proceeds will be donated to Noah’s Ark.

According to the organizing group, PhysEmp.com, the inaugural event will be family- and dog-friendly. Dogs and humans will be running and walking side-by-side to show support for the local shelter dogs and the people who care for them.

Noah’s Ark can provide a shelter dog to those who would like to run or walk with at the event.
