Alliant Energy – Interstate Power and Light Co. will be starting work on a project to replace and upgrade electrical distribution lines that serve customers on and near West Grimes Avenue.

The work is part of a long term conversion project in Fairfield which is designed to provide safe and reliable electricity to the community for years to come. As part of this phase, crews will replace 28 poles and 8,300 feet of electrical wire on Grimes Avenue between Eleventh Street and North Main Street.
