‘A Night with Janis Joplin’ postponed at Sondheim

Sep 28, 2017

“A Night with Janis Joplin,” a Broadway musical celebrating the queen of rock ’n’ roll Oct. 5 at the Sondheim center has been postponed.

“The producers, citing challenges with the actor’s equity, have postponed the first month of the national tour that extends into February,” said Rustin Lippincott. “We are working with the Broadway touring booking agency to reschedule the date for the Sondheim.”

Ticket holders for “A Night with Janis Joplin” Oct. 5 at the Sondheim can contact the ticket office, 472-2787, to be issued a new ticket once the show has been scheduled.

According to Sondheim ticket office coordinator Francesca Greco, “If patrons do not want to wait for our reschedule announcement, we will gladly exchange ‘A Night with Janis Joplin’ for another one of our Broadway performances, ‘Wizard of Oz,’ ‘Stomp,’ ‘Amazing Grace’ or one of our other top-notch shows.”

Although the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center has a no-refund policy, when performance dates are changed or canceled, the center will issue refunds on all tickets purchased at the ticket office or online.

For more information on exchanging tickets or requesting a refund, call Greco at 472-2787.
