Art association offers Halloween art class Tuesday

Oct 16, 2017

The Fairfield Art Association is offering a special Halloween art class with instructor Elaine Duncan from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday in the Fairfield Art Association Studio.

Duncan instructs a regular art class every-other-week entitled “Art for your Sake,” but the special class is an opportunity to try your hand at being creative with no experience needed. The cost of the class is $8 per person. Materials will be provided.

“Our Halloween class will have an experimental and exploratory focus. It will be fun! You do not have to have any special ability, talent or aptitude to participate and enjoy making art. In this class we will be using different materials. You do not have to know how to draw or paint, you only need bring yourself with an open attitude,” said Duncan.

Duncan is a well-known local artist and experienced instructor, who has worked in a variety of media including ceramics, jewelry, drawing, painting, and collage. She has a way of leading the class with both group and individual attention, bringing out the best of each student. Duncan believes making art is a natural expression of the unique creative energy within you.

Anyone interested in the class pre-register with Duncan by emailing her at e@elaineonline.net or calling or texting her at 641-954-2888.

The studio is in the main entrance of the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center at the north end of the building.
