BATAVIA -- Batavia Community will host a community blood drive from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Batavia Community Center.

Donors who last gave blood on or before May 22 are eligible to give at this drive. Those who donate will receive a $5 gift card to Amazon or Subway.

Birmingham Lions Club

BIRMINGHAM -- Birmingham Lions Club will host a community blood drive from 3-6:30 p.m. July 19 at the Birmingham Lions Building.

Donors who last gave blood on or before May 24 are eligible to give at this drive. Those who donate will receive a $5 gift card to Amazon or Subway.

First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church will host a community blood drive from 2-6:30 p.m. July 23 in the church dining room.

Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation

Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation will host a community blood drive from 4-6:30 p.m. July 30 in Noah’s Ark community room.

Donors who last gave blood on or before June 4 are eligible to give at this drive.

Information

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age, although a 16-year-old can donate with parental permission; a form is available through www.bloodcenter.org.

Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure can be accepted as eligible donors. Donors weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo I.D. is required.

Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center is the provider of blood and blood components to more than 90 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin. It is the exclusive provider to Jefferson County Health Center and Van Buren County Hospital.
