The Birmingham Lions Club will meet for its carry-in supper at 7 p.m. Monday at the Birmingham Lions Building.

A guest speaker is planned.

Carroll Unkrich and Harry Anderson are the January committee.

The four Lions clubs in Van Buren County — Birmingham, Keosauqua, Stockport and Milton — and the Keosauqua Leo Club presented Zina Hardin $8,000.

The funds, proceeds from the Festival of Trees held in December at the Roberts Memorial Center in Keosauqua, are to be used for the Christmas for Kids in Van Buren County program in 2014.

Hardin has been the head of Christmas for Kids in Van Buren County for 30 years. She makes sure each child has a merrier Christmas.

The Birmingham Homecoming Committee will have a chicken and fish fry supper starting at 5 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Birmingham Lions Building.

The Over 50 and Fabulous Red Hat Ladies lunch was canceled earlier this month due to the weather.

The next meeting is Feb. 11.
