Vacation Bible school for all youth in the Birmingham community will start Sunday at Heartland Campgrounds in Birmingham. The program will be 6-8 p.m. Ann Boley is the leader.


The Birmingham Lions Club will have a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Birmingham Lions Building. The committee is Ann Boley and Morrie Shaw.

The Stockport Library is open again now that the new lights and carpet have been installed. The library board is planning an open house at a later date.


The Rev. Jason Mott gave his last sermon at the Stockport Christian Church Sunday. The sermon, which was about transition and change, was to ready the parish for changes coming during this transition period in the church. Mott, his wife Lisa and children have been in Stockport three years and built up the younger adult congregation.


The Stockport community vacation Bible school will be 6:30-8 p.m. July 27-31 at the Stockport Christian Church.

Children in preschool through junior high are welcome to attend. The theme is “ZuCamp.”

Anyone wishing to help out can contact the Christian church for more information.


Stockport United Methodist Church is having choir practice every first and third Sunday morning after church at 10 a.m. Anyone, any age, who would like to join is welcome.


Stockport United Methodist Church will host an evening of vocal and musical entertainment by the Bluegrass Blondies in August.
