Trick-or-treat night in Birmingham will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Residents are asked to leave their outside light on if they want trick or treaters to visit.


Beverly O’Brien will have special music at the Birmingham Methodist Church Sunday. Cake will be served for those who have birthdays in October.


The Methodist church is planning a fall supper Nov. 10.

The Stockport United Methodist Church will have its Fall Supper today.

The menu will be turkey, ham balls, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, salads, green beans, roll, pie and drink all for a free-will donation.

Carry-outs will start at 5 p.m., and dine-in will be from 5:30-7p.m.


The Haunted Barn, sponsored by the Van Buren/Jefferson County Jaycees opened its doors last weekend and will be open again from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Follow the posted signs from Birmingham or call 233-7608 or 919-0901 for more information.


The Stockport Development Committee will host its annual Halloween Carnival starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Stockport American Legion Hall. Attendees can purchase a wristband to play games and win prizes. Snacks and drinks will be available. A costume contest is planned.


Trick-or-treat night will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in Stockport.

A wiener roast with marshmallows and hot cocoa will be held at the City Park shelter at the same time.


The Stockport Library will be closed Monday, but open from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday for trick or treaters. Regular library hours apply for the rest of the week.
