Cambridge promotes Lindsey Reyes

Cambridge announces Lindsey Reyes has been promoted to regional director of Cambridge’s Advocacy & Supervision Team.

In this role, Reyes provides support in an Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction capacity to Cambridge’s independent financial advisers.

Reyes joined Cambridge in 2009 as a registered principal on the Operations Account Supervision Team and in 2014 transitioned to the Advocacy & Supervision Team as an associate regional director. As a regional director, Reyes provides consultative supervisory support in many areas, including trade suitability, outside business activity reviews, and supervisory branch visits for Cambridge’s independent financial advisers.

Reyes earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Iowa. Additionally, she holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses.


JCHC employee receives IHA scholarship

DES MOINES — The Iowa Hospital Association’s Iowa Hospital Education and Research Foundation has awarded $182,000 in scholarships to college students from all parts of Iowa.

Among those receiving a $3,500 scholarships are Robyn Reiter, an employee at Jefferson County Health Center. Reiter is studying to get her Master of Science in Health Informatics at the University of Illinois at Chicago.


BizTraining programs planned

The Maharishi University of Management College of Business has a USDA grant that provides free workshops, seminars and mentoring.

M.U.M. Professor Sabita Sawhney will present a program on import and export opportunities at noon June 6 at Fairfield Public Library.

Sawhney also will present the four-part “Service Quality and First Impressions” from 10:30-11:30 a.m. June 9, 16, 23 and 30 at the library.

Sign up for chamber’s golf tournaments

Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s and Men’s Blast Off Golf Tournaments will be June 8.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with tee-off at 8:30 a.m. The women’s tournament will at Walton Club,. The men play at Fairfield Golf & Country Club.

Iowa State Bank is the presenting sponsor for both tournaments in addition to the Par-Tee.

The Par-Tee will start at 5:30 p.m. June 7 at Fairfield Golf & Country Club. Registered golfers have free admission to the Par-Tee, nongolfers have a registration fee of $25. For registered golfers, the Par-Tee is included in the tournament package at no extra cost, however reservations are still required. Par-Tee admission includes complimentary beer, cider and heavy appetizers.

The chamber is accepting registrations for teams of four for both the men’s and women’s tournaments. The cost is $65 per golfer, which includes entry to the Par-Tee, 18 holes of golf, lunch and prizes. Early bird reservations are due at 5 p.m. Friday. All Par-Tee reservations for nongolfers will increase to $30 after Friday. Golf registration will increase to $65 per person after Friday.
