Classes starting for trampoline, gymnastics

Registration is under way for trampoline and gymnastic classes planned by the Fairfield Park and Recreation Department.

The trampoline classes divided into three sessions starting the week of March 18 for ages 3 through adult, beginner to advanced.

The trampoline program is structured to help a gymnast develop balance, body positions, flexibility, self-confidence and strength. The program will teach basic to advanced skills at an individual level.

The gymnastics classes are divided into four sessions beginning the week of March 18.

Qualifications for level positions are at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The gymnastics program is structured to help develop balance, body positions, flexibility, self-confidence and strength. Skills, including floor tumbling, balance beam and bar movements, will be taught at an individual level.

Jeff Ide, who has more than 30 years of gymnastics experience, will be teaching advanced-elite classes. Angela Clark and Jeanne Ide will teach the other gymnastics classes.

All the classes will meet at the Roosevelt Community Recreation Center.

Class sizes for both trampoline and gymnastics are limited.
