Comedy show Saturday in Fairfield

Jan 10, 2013

Donzilla, the self-described Comedy Monster brings his uncensored stand-up routine at 7:30 p.m. Saturday to the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.

Donzilla, who is Don Tjernagel, is a very original and edgy stand-up comic. If you like your stand-up comedy with a bite, think “Jaws” and you get Tjernagel.

Insurance agent by day from Waterloo, Donzilla has forged a successful comedic career as well. There is no topic that Donzilla doesn’t touch and no topic is off limits. He uses his sharp mind to shred whatever catches his interest, even if this is his own life.

In addition to his live performances across the country, Donzilla has enjoyed success with his DVD and CD sales.

“My show will contain material that is politically incorrect, socially advert and even sexually explicit,” said Tjernagel. “I’ve been described as having a very sharp mind, excellent timing and the ability to react to the audience. If you haven’t met a comic yet that can make you cringe and laugh at the same time, you should come to the show. If you are easily offended, pass, for your own good.”

Tickets for the Donzilla – Comedy Monster show are $8 and available at the Ticket Office, 472-2787 or www.FairfieldACC.com.
