Community Childcare Center to offer free preschool

Aug 07, 2017

Community Childcare Center is partnering with Fairfield Community School District to bring another option for parents to provide free preschool for 4-year-olds.

Community Childcare is a fully licensed child care and preschool for children ages 6 weeks through fifth grade. The center is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The preschool program is not new, but free preschool for 4-year-olds is new.

Four-year-olds can attend preschool from 1-3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. They must be 4 by Sept. 15 to attend for free. There also is 3 year old preschool from 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. There is a fee for the 3 year old preschool, but scholarship help is available to parents who qualify.

Teacher Carlee Jensen has a teaching degree in early childhood education. This is her second year of teaching preschool, but she has prior teaching experience.

The class is family oriented, with many learning opportunities planned.

The Community Childcare staff wants children to gain the love and enjoyment of going to school at a young age.

Sign-up is underway. For more information, contact Community Childcare Center at 472-9629.
