The following case was judged at Jefferson County Courthouse:

Associate District Court

Amber Dawn Carr, 26, of Fairfield, pleaded guilty to two charges of fourth-degree theft, serious misdemeanors. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, less credit for time served. Her sentence is to run concurrent with sentences in six Wapello County cases. Her jail sentence was suspended and she was placed on two years probation. She was fined, for each charge of theft, $315 plus a 35 percent surcharge and a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge. She was ordered to pay $258 in restitution in one case and a to-be-determined amount of restitution amount in the other case, court appointed attorney fees if any and court costs. She was ordered to be fingerprinted if none are on file with law enforcement.
