Dialogue on Aging Series continues

Aug 28, 2017

The Iowa Department on Aging announces the next events in the 2017 Dialogue on Aging Series. “Technology In Aging: Improving the Quality of Life and Care for Older Iowans” will be Sept. 13 in Bettendorf and Oct. 25 in Creston.

Representatives from the University of Iowa Barbara and Richard Csomay Center for Gerontological Excellence and the Iowa State University Gerontology Program/Human Development and Family Studies Department will be discussing innovative ways that technology is being developed and used throughout Iowa to enable older adults to maintain their independence at home and fully participate in their communities.

Department on Aging staff are so excited about the content that the speakers were asked to present twice and share the same information with audiences on opposite sides of the state.

Each event also will include a centenarian recognition over lunch. Iowans who will be 100 years old or more by Dec. 31 will be honored.

Registration is underway. The cost, which includes lunch and refreshments, is $25 per person.

For information or registration, contact the Iowa Department on Aging at 800-532-3213 or www.iowaaging.gov.
