Beth Alonzo, Interact and Rotaract advisor, left, presents a $550 check to Marie Leher, president of the nonprofit organization Rise Africa. The Interact Club and Rotaract Club of Fairfield made the donation to help finance the planting of 100 neem trees for a village in Tanzania, Africa. The leaves from neem trees are ground into a cream that repels mosquitoes that can carry the deadly malaria parasite. Neem trees can live 200 years.
