Dorothy Jean Muntz, 82, of Farmington, died Friday, July 4, 2014, at home.

A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Farmington United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Goldie Laymon officiating. Burial will be at Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington.

Visitation is 1-7 p.m. today at the church, with family present 5-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Farmington United Methodist Church, The Food Pantry or the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are in the care of Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington.

Mrs. Muntz was born Nov. 21, 1931, in West Point, the daughter of Albert and Blanche Humphrey Kutcher. She married Keith L. Muntz May 28, 1950, in Farmington. He died March 24, 2012.

She was a 1950 graduate of Farmington High School, where one of her biggest highlights was playing in the state basketball tournament.

Mrs. Muntz was a member of Farmington United Methodist Church, P.E.O. and Farmington Cemetery Association.

She was co-owner of Muntz and Kutcher Grocery Store for 20 years and Muntz Farm Supply for 12 years.

She loved cooking, camping and playing cards with friends and family. She loved holidays with family and grandkids coming home.

Survivors include her mother, Blanche Kutcher of Kahoka, Missouri; one daughter, Kathy O’Day and husband Ross of Farmington; two sons, Kent Muntz and wife Lesa of Farmington, and Curt Muntz and wife Sue of Muscatine; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Esther Weaver of Farmington.
