The Fairfield Elks Lodge has awarded a $2,000 Community Investment Grant to the Little Superheroes.

Little Superheroes is a local nonprofit organization established to provide assistance to local families with a child confronting a long-term medical crisis. These families can apply for a grant from Little Superheroes for support and financial assistance to help alleviate the burden that families facing a serious medical crisis must shoulder.

The project was made possible by a grant from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Through its Community Investments Program, the Elks National Foundation awards grants to local Elks lodges to help the Elks strengthen their communities. This year, the Elks National Foundation will award $6.5 million in grants to benefit Elks communities.

To get involved with this or other Fairfield Elks Lodge projects, email project manager Douglas Bagby at dglsbagby@yahoo.com.
