Explore at Jefferson County Park

Jun 21, 2018

Jefferson County Conservation is offering two upcoming summer programs for children at Jefferson County Park.

The first program, “PreSchool Explore,” is set for 10-11:30 a.m. June 28.

The hands-on exploration program is for children who will be in preschool in the fall.

A parent or adult must accompany the child.

The program is free, but registration is required by calling 472-4421 or emailing Jefferson County Naturalist Therese Cummiskey at therese@jeffersoncountyconservation.com.

The second program, “Explore for Kindergartners,” is set for 9:30-11:30 a.m. June 29.

The program, which “will be a little more hard core than that for the preschoolers,” is for children who will be kindergartners in the fall. The group will meet at the nature center, and then will be going off the trail, across the creek and along the pond; be ready to get wet and dirty.

A parent or adult must accompany the child.

The program is free, but registration is required by calling 472-4421 or emailing therese@jeffersoncountyconservation.com.

Jefferson County Conservation has more programs planned throughout the summer. To see details, read the Naturally Speaking newsletter on the Jefferson County Conservation website at www.jeffersoncountyconservation.com under the “What’s New & Educ. Programs” tab.
