The Fairfield Art Association announces its participation in Youth Art Month with the “Middle School Student Art” exhibit the full month of March.

The exhibit will be installed by Fairfield Middle School art teacher Holly McDow in the Main Gallery of the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.

The display will open Friday, with a reception for students, family, friends and the public from 6-8 p.m.

McDow said, “The show will feature exceptional artworks by students in fifth-, sixth- and seventhgrade in a variety of media, including ceramic and paper sculpture, tempera, watercolor and acrylic paintings, collages, and marker, pencil and charcoal drawings.”

Additional viewing of the exhibit is Monday through Friday during the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center’s business hours, along with public evening events, such as the Southeast Iowa Farm Show and Little Texas concert Saturday.
