Fairfield boys defeat Davis County in tennis

Davis County fell to the Trojans 5-4 Thursday in boys’ tennis at Fairfield Middle School.

No. 1 Fairfield player Govi Punj won his match 6-0, 6-0. Alex Simpson and Landon Greiner also won their singles matches.

The match was tied at three when the doubles contests began. Fairfield would win two out of three, taking the day by the score of 5-4. Simpson and Greiner won 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, while Punj and Bryce Lunsford won their match 6-0, 6-0.

Navin Martin won his JV match 8-0.

The Trojans will play Saturday at the Maharishi School of the Age of Englightenment Pioneers Invitational.
