Fairfield Lumber reports vandalism

A Fairfield man reported a group of teenagers tried to pick a fight with him early Sunday morning and that one of them threw a bottle that broke a window in Fairfield Lumber Co.

According to the Fairfield police log, the caller said he and a group of friends were walking to The Red Rock Tavern Sunday between 12:30-1:30 a.m. A group of teens began following them and tried to provoke a fight.

The caller reported he did not know who any of the teens were. He said one of them threw a bottle that crashed against the side of Fairfield Lumber Co. They later discovered that this broke a window on the building’s front entrance.

Damages to the building are estimated at $350.

A separate caller reported seeing two girls and three “heavyset” men throw beer bottles at Fairfield Lumber Co. and then walk toward The Red Rock Tavern.
