Fairfield’s school fee payment day Thursday

Fairfield Community School District will have its 2017-18 districtwide fee payment day Thursday.

Districtwide fee payment day for kindergarten through 12th-grade students is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the Fairfield High School Commons.

Fee are as follows: book fees for high school, $60; middle school, $50; elementary students, $45. Preschool fees are $70 per month.

For sixth- through eighth-grades, the instrumental fee is $10; ninth- through 12th-graders pay $15. The maximum family amount is $25.

Activity tickets cost $35 for high school students and $25 for middle schoolers. The fee is $65 for adults. The all-season activity fees for a family is $130. Those 62 years and older pay $20.

Students who wish to park on school grounds should contact the FHS office after Thursday to fill out the necessary forms and pay parking fees. Parking fees are non-refundable.

Lunch prices for high school and middle school students is $2.60; elementary students pay $2.45. Adults pay $3.55 for lunch.

Breakfast is $1.90 for all students and adults.

A 20-count milk ticket for an elementary student is $8. Middle and high school students will pay 40 cents for an extra carton of milk or juice.

Those needing meal assistance should complete an Iowa eligibility application form found online at www.fairfieldsfuture.org under the districtwide fee payment packet or contact the district food services director, Stephanie Hawkins, at 472-2655 Ext. 6703. Blank forms also are available at the Administration/Curriculum/Technology Center.

Fee payment packets were mailed to parents.

The FHS will have a freshman open house and orientation at 6 p.m. Aug. 30. The FHS “Welcome Back” ice cream social is set for 7-7:30 p.m. Aug. 30.

Pence and Washington elementary schools will have an open house from 4-5:30 p.m. Aug. 31.

Fairfield Middle School’s open house will be 4:30-6:30 p.m. Aug. 31.

The first day of school is Sept. 5, and each building will have normal school hours.
