Fairfield school menu: May 15-19, 2017

Fairfield school menu includes walking tacos
May 12, 2017

Fairfield Community School District has listed its lunch menu for the coming week.

Elementary schools:

Monday — breakfast: muffin and string cheese. Lunch: mini corn dogs, potato smiles, broccoli with dip, peaches.

Tuesday — breakfast: breakfast pizza. Lunch: walking taco, peppy pinto beans, lettuce and cheese, frozen fruit cup.

Wednesday — breakfast: smoothies and graham crackers. Lunch: pork tenderloin on a bun, savory sweet potatoes, celery sticks, awesome sauce.

Thursday — breakfast: doughnut holes. Lunch: cheese pizza, green beans, romaine side salad with dressing, fresh fruit.

Friday — breakfast: banana bread. Lunch: beef and noodles, mighty mashed potatoes, homemade roll, carrot sticks, fresh fruit.

Breakfast at the elementary schools also includes milk, juice and fruit, and lunch includes milk.

Fairfield Middle School:

Monday — breakfast: muffin and string cheese. Lunch: mini corn dogs or BBQ Chicken Max Snax, potato smiles, broccoli with dip, peaches.

Tuesday — breakfast: breakfast pizza. Lunch: beef walking taco or chicken walking taco, peppy pinto beans, lettuce and cheese, frozen fruit cup.

Wednesday — breakfast: smoothies and graham crackers. Lunch: pork tenderloin on a bun or sloppy joe on a bun, savory sweet potatoes, celery sticks, awesome sauce.

Thursday — breakfast: doughnut holes. Lunch: Pizza Ranch or salad bar, green beans, romaine side salad with dressing, fresh fruit.

Friday — breakfast: banana bread. Lunch: beef and noodles or deli wrap, mighty mashed potatoes, homemade roll, carrot sticks, fresh fruit.

Breakfast at the middle school also includes milk, juice and fruit, and lunch includes milk.

Fairfield High School:

The FHS Class of 2017 chose the menus for Monday through May 19.

Monday — Lunch: Tasty Traditions: chicken nuggets. Cultural Cuisine: cook’s choice. The Sides: mashed potatoes, breadstick, fancy pears.

Tuesday — Lunch: Tasty Traditions: orange chicken. Cultural Cuisine: cook’s choice. The Sides: rice, California blend vegetables, mandarin oranges and pineapple.

Wednesday — Lunch: Tasty Traditions: beef stew, cinnamon roll. Cultural Cuisine: cook’s choice. The Sides: green beans, applesauce.

Thursday — Lunch: pasta bar, garlic bread. The Sides: garlic bread, steamed broccoli, frozen fruit cup.

Friday — Lunch: Tasty Traditions: walking taco. The Grill: cook’s choice. The Sides: peppy pinto beans, Spanish rice, salsa, peaches.

Breakfast at the high school includes PopTart, chocolate-chip breakfast bar, mini doughnuts, and cereal. Lunch also offers the Trojan Express with deli sandwiches, Uncrustable PBJ, chef salad with roll, fruit and yogurt box with roll. The Sides include romaine salad with dressing, fresh garden bar, fresh fruit, and milk.
