Fairfield schools start Tuesday; menu listed

Fairfield Community School District opens its doors for the 2017-18 academic year Tuesday, and has listed its lunch menu for the coming week.

Elementary schools:

Monday — No school.

Tuesday — breakfast: mini doughnuts. Lunch: cheese pizza, honey-glazed carrots, side salad with dressing, Rosy Awesome Sauce, milk.

Wednesday — breakfast: banana bread. Lunch: nachos with beef and cheese, corn, salsa, fresh fruit, milk.

Thursday — breakfast: frudel. Lunch: chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, baby carrots, frozen fruit cup, brownie, milk.

Friday — breakfast: cereal bar with string cheese. Lunch: cheeseburger on bun, baked beans, broccoli with dip, fresh fruit, milk.

Fairfield Middle School:

Monday — no school.

Tuesday — breakfast: mini doughnuts. Lunch: cheese pizza or pepperoni pizza, honey-glazed carrots, fresh garden bar, Rosy Awesome Sauce, milk.

Wednesday — breakfast: banana bread. Lunch: nachos with beef and cheese or nachos with chicken and cheese, corn, fresh garden bar, fresh fruit, milk.

Thursday — breakfast: frudel. Lunch: chicken nuggets or country-fried pork chop, mashed potatoes, fresh garden bar, frozen fruit cup, brownie, milk.

Friday — breakfast: cereal bar with string cheese. Lunch: cheeseburger on bun or hamburger on bun, baked beans, fresh garden bar, fresh fruit, milk.

Fairfield High School:

Monday — no school.

Tuesday — breakfast: pancake on a stick. Lunch: Trojan Express — yogurt parfait with granola, deli sandwiches, chef salad, nachos-to-go, Uncrustable PBJ; Tasty Traditions — cheese pizza. The Grill — sausage pizza, pepperoni pizza. The Sides — green beans, pears, romaine salad with dressing, fresh garden bar, fresh fruit, milk.

Wednesday — breakfast: cinni minis. Lunch: Trojan Express — yogurt parfait with granola, deli sandwiches, chef salad, nachos-to-go, Uncrustable PBJ; Tasty Traditions — breakfast bar; The Sides — tater tots, frozen fruit cup, romaine salad with dressing, fresh garden bar, fresh fruit, milk.

Thursday — breakfast: blueberry bread. Lunch: Trojan Express — yogurt parfait with granola, deli sandwiches, chef salad, nachos-to-go, Uncrustable PBJ; Tasty Traditions — barbecued pulled pork on bun; The Grill — sloppy joe on bun; The Sides — baked beans, dried fruit mix, romaine salad with dressing, fresh garden bar, fresh fruit, milk.

Friday — breakfast: breakfast burrito. Lunch: Trojan Express — yogurt parfait with granola, deli sandwiches, chef salad, nachos-to-go, Uncrustable PBJ; Tasty Traditions — beef and noodles with homemade roll; The Grill — Salisbury steak and gravy with homemade roll; The Sides — mashed potatoes, strawberries and pears, romaine salad with dressing, fresh garden bar, fresh fruit, milk.
