TOP: The FFA debuted a new food booth at the Greater Jefferson County Fair this year. The structure was constructed with all donated labor and $20,000 in donations from local businesses. The booth is dedicated to the late Ed Elmore. The original FFA food booth this new one replaced was 10 years old and was dedicated to Caleb Davisson, an FFA member who died in 2006. Fairfield FFA advisor Courtney Taglauer said the new building has twice the space and features a three-compartment sink, which is recommended for best hygiene. She said the food booth enjoyed record sales this fair.

Peck graduated from Fairfield High School this year, and has remained active in FFA since his graduation. He attended an FFA leadership conference in Washington, D.C., the week before the fair. He said he plans to join one of FFA’s alumni associations.
