Fairfield Fire Department responded to an automatic alarm at 3:44 a.m. Sunday at 2020 North B Street; everything was OK, and they returned to the station at 3:48 a.m.

Firefighters responded at 1:01 p.m. Saturday to the pundit campus on Invincible America Boulevard for reports of smoke coming from a building. Eight firefighters used water to extinguish a fire begun by either burning candles or incense. The occupied building had an estimated $1,000 in damages from smoke and water in one corner.

Firefighters responded at 7:01 p.m. Friday to a carbon monoxide alarm at 406 W. Madison Ave. No carbon monoxide was detected after an investigation and firefighters returned to the station at 7:23 p.m.
