First Presbyterian JOY Nite; Open houses for preschool programs

First Presbyterian plans JOY Nite kick-off events

First Presbyterian Church is beginning its Christian education program for the school year with a breakfast at 10 a.m. Sunday at Jefferson County Park Shelter No. 3.

Breakfast will be followed by a worship service led by the Rev. Joe Phipps, pastor of the church. Introductions will be made of new Christian Education Youth Director Jeremy Blauvelt, the staff and the programs for youth through adults. Everyone is welcome.

The first JOY Nite for preschool through high school youth will be 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. All youth are welcome to bring their friends and attend for food, music, lessons and fun.

Churches plan open houses for preschool programs

St. Mary Catholic Church and Immanuel Lutheran Church are planning open houses for their preschool programs.

St. Mary Catholic Church will have a preschool open house from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

Immanuel Lutheran Church will host an open house for its Mothers’ Day Out Preschool program from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday and an open house for its prekindergarten program from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday.
