BLOOD DRIVES

Five blood drives planned

Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation

Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation will host a community blood drive from 3-5:30 p.m. Monday inside the animal shelter’s community room.

Donors who last gave blood on or before March 12 are eligible to give at this drive

First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church will host a community blood drive from 2-6:30 p.m. Monday in the church dining room.

Donors who last gave blood on or before March 12 are eligible to give at this drive.

Jefferson County PM

Jefferson County PM will host a community blood drive from 2-7 p.m. May 8 in the Cambridge Learning Center on the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

Donors who last gave blood on or before March 13 are eligible to give at this drive.

Boy Scouts Troop 64

Boy Scouts of America Troop 64, in an Eagle Project coordinated by James Trent Jr., will host a community blood drive from 4-7 p.m. May 9 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Donors who last gave blood on or before March 14 are eligible to give at this drive.

Fairfield High School

Fairfield High School will host a community blood drive from 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9 in the school’s gym.

Donors who last gave blood on or before March 14 are eligible to give at this drive.

For appointments to donate, contact a member of the FHS Student Council or visit www.bloodcenterimpact.org and use code 5023 to locate the drive.

 

Information

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age, although a 16-year-old with a completed parental permission form can donate. The form is available at www.bloodcenter.org. Donors must weigh more than 110 pounds. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure can be accepted as eligible donors A photo I.D. is required. For information about eligibility, call the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center at 800-747-5401.

Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center is the provider of blood and blood components to more than 90 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin. It is the exclusive provider to Jefferson County Health Center.
