As for all the success FMS has enjoyed this year, coach Jerrod Belzer said, “It starts with the kids individually. They all love the game of basketball, they work incredibly hard and are all coachable. They’ve all shown up each day and have been ready to improve and get better.

“Certainly, too, they’ve worked hard over the past few years to get where they are. They didn’t just show up in January, it’s been a few years in the making. With that, they’ve had great travel-team coaches.

“The Breens (Dan and Tina) and Coach (Josh) Allison have done an outstanding job of teaching them the fundamentals of the game, that’s evident in their knowledge and ability.

“I’m excited to see what these ladies accomplish in the future. We talk often about never being complacent or satisfied but always working to improve.

“If they’ll continue their commitment to the game, they can do great things.”
