Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School “Students of the Month” award to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school.

These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom.

The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.

Laney Norris has been selected as a fifth-grade Student of the Month for September. Her certificate states, “She has had a great start to the year! Laney uses her Trojan PRIDE in all she does. She works hard and participates in class. She is someone I can count on to do the right thing.”

Ryan Giberson has been selected as a fifth-grade Student of the Month for September. His certificate states, “He does a good job showing good Trojan PRIDE consistently, and he acts very mature and well-mannered around his classmates. His great characteristics lead as an example to his teammates and class.”

Benett Boatright was selected as a sixth-grade Student of the Month for September. His certificate states, “Ben is positive, dependable, and can be counted on to be a leader in class discussions. He shows his Trojan PRIDE through his diligent work ethic, coming to class prepared every day, and taking pride in his work.”

Maya Lane was selected as a sixth-grade Student of the Month for September. Her certificate states, “Every day Maya comes to class prepared to learn. She is respectful to everyone she encounters. Maya does an excellent job of communicating with her teachers and asks questions when she needs clarification. She puts her best effort into everything she does. She is an excellent example of Trojan PRIDE.”

Paige Craun was selected as a seventh-grade Student of the Month for September. Her certificate states, “Paige can be counted on showing Trojan PRIDE in class at all times. She is on task and can be seen asking good questions, because she wants to get the most out of her learning.”

Andrew Titze was selected as a seventh-grade Student of the Month for September. His certificate states, “He approaches everything with a positive attitude, and has a great sense of humor. He is also engaged in his learning. He even uses prior learning to make connections when learning new material. Andrew’s open mind serves him well!”

Kailei Bailey is an eighth-grade September Student of the Month. According to her certificate, “Starting the year off right, Kailei does quality work, on time, and always with a smile. She is putting her best foot forward and has already become a student we can depend on.”

Bradley Clemons was selected as an eighth-grade Student of the Month for September. According to his certificate, he “demonstrates all the characteristics of Trojan PRIDE. In class he is hard working and willing to collaborate with all of his peers. He always has a positive attitude, turns work in on time, and participates in class discussion. Bradley shows respect by listening to his peers and teacher during instruction. He also obeys all classroom rules, exceeding my expectations.”
