Craun’s certificate states she “is kind and considerate to her fellow peers. She is a hard worker and is very responsible. She is a quiet leader. Her Trojan PRIDE is evident in all parts of her day. She is someone who can be depended on to do the right thing in all situations.”

Moore’s certificate states “He tries his hardest each and every day and always has a positive attitude. He is very dependable, and I can always count on him to follow the expectations and be an outstanding role model for his classmates. He’s very friendly to other students.”

Solstice Hebert and Drew Twohill were selected the sixth-grade Students of the Month.

Hebert’s certificate states she “brings a positive attitude, and a willingness to help others. She is a dependable student and her work ethic is appreciated by her teachers. Solstice shows her Trojan PRIDE by being prepared for class each day, and working hard to do her best.”

Twohill’s certificate states he “displays Trojan PRIDE on a daily basis. He has a positive attitude, a great work ethic, and a witty sense of humor. He strives to do his best at all times.”

Shay Smith was selected a seventh-grade Student of the Month. Her certificate states she “is a conscientious student. She always tries her best and has a very positive attitude. She’s willing to work hard. Shay also does a great job of participating in class activities and she works well in groups. She has patience and she listens to her teammates, which is appreciated.”

Laila Henaghan and Daniel Baldosier were selected eighth-grade Students of the Month.

Henaghan’s certificate states, “When it comes to leading by example, fewer students do it better than Laila Henaghan. Brightening everyone’s day with a smile, Laila gets her work done punctually and well. She’s a great help to others, and she’s a great role model.”

Baldosier’s certificate states, “A strong work ethic and a quick mind make Daniel an ideal student of the month. Always willing to help other students, Daniel is respected by teachers and classmates alike. Daniel participates in class, turns in work on time and always puts in his best effort.”

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School Student of the Month awards.

The purpose of the award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school. These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom.

The FMS Student of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by the grade-level teaching teams.
