Free showing of ‘Life Before Fairfield’ Tuesday

Jan 18, 2018

The Fairfield History Series’s first film “Life Before Fairfield” will be shown for free at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.

The film covers the area’s prehistoric past, the animals that lived here thousands of years ago, and the Native American tribes that called this place home. The second film in the series, expected to be ready for viewing this summer, is called “Heroes of Fairfield,” and will cover topics such as the Underground Railroad and Fairfield’s military heroes from yesterday and today.

The third film will be about agriculture, and will begin production later this year. Eight films are planned.

The film series is a joint venture between producer and director Dick DeAngelis of Fair Field Productions, and Jason Strong of Fairfield Media Center.

The first film debuted in August, and has been shown many times since.
