Geology Rocks Camp at Lacey park

Jul 19, 2017

KEOSAUQUA — The Des Moines River Water Trail is offering Geology Rocks Camp from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 28 at the Lacey-Keosauqua State Park Beachhouse.

Children entering third- through sixth-grades, with first priority given to Van Buren County youth, can be geologists for the day.

Participants will be busy with hands-on activities, experiments and explorations as they focus on rocks and fossils. The activities also will include a creek hike, so campers should wear clothes and shoes that can get wet and dirty.

Preregistration for Geology Rocks Camp is required. Call 919-6822 or email dmriverwatertrail@gmail.com.
