Golden Speakers Toastmasters Club

Golden Speakers Toastmasters Club in Fairfield recently recognized award winners and inducted new members.

Four applicants were inducted: Lynette Vivacqua, Rick Starr, Rhea Saint and Katherine Kendz.

Applicants affirmed their commitment to the Toastmasters’ club promise. Club members, in turn, affirmed their willingness to support the new members in learning speaking technique and leadership skills.

Applicants were voted in and declared Golden Speakers club members.

The 2012-13 Award Achievements were celebrated July 30. Members were recognized and appreciated with fanfare.

Upon completing a series of speech projects and leadership skills, each member earned one or more awards:

Jean Symington-Craig, Advanced Communicator Bronze;

Diane Denbaum, Competent Communicator, Competent Leader, Advanced Communicator Silver, Advanced Leader Bronze;

Seth Braun, Advanced Communicator Gold;

Lewis Denbaum, Competent Communicator;

Tom Traynor, Competent Communicator;

Upendra Sharma, Competent Communicator;

Rahul Vats, Competent Communicator; and

Jesus Rios, Competent Communicator.

Toastmaster’s International is a nonprofit organization. Every Toastmasters club supports and motivates each individual member to state-specific goals, manage time and actively participate. This in turn develops self-confidence and personal power.

Golden Speakers meets from 7:30-9:15 p.m. every Tuesday in the lower level of the Fairfield First United Methodist Church. Guests are welcome.
