Community 1st Credit Union and Fairfield representatives participate in a groundbreaking ceremony Friday morning. Community 1st Credit Union will begin construction of a new Fairfield branch later this year. The new building will remain at the same location and replace the current building. In 2006, the Community 1st Fairfield branch, formerly known as Jefferson County Credit Union, joined the C1st family. “Because of our long-time loyal members and an increase in new membership, we have outgrown our current facility,” President/CEO Philip Van Mersbergen said. “We are committed to our Fairfield members and the new facility is proof of that commitment.” The C1st Fairfield branch will continue to offer a full-range of financial services.
